Stormdancer's SupercyclicalChecked — links and guide are done

Supercyclical and Stormdancer’s Brace both refund Super energy for the kills you get during your Super, and they stack. A good cast returns around 50 to 60% of the bar, with no diminishing returns. Bad Juju then covers the remaining 40% faster than the walk to the next room does.

Bring it to general end-game ad clear. It isn’t a damage-phase Build. Stormtrance keeps you in the open in third person, and the survivability that carries you through a room doesn’t carry you through a boss.

How it plays

Throw the Storm grenade, drop the Ionic Sentry, kill with Bad Juju until the bar fills, then cast and stay cast until the Super runs out.

Underneath that you manage Bolt Charge, and the kit hands it to you from four directions at once. Electrostatic Mind makes Ionic Traces off ability, jolted and blinded kills, and Spark of Discharge makes them off Arc weapon kills. Spark of Shock makes the Storm grenade jolt, so the first of those fires constantly. Every Trace collected is a stack of Bolt Charge and a refund on every ability.

The Ionic Sentry generates stacks on its own and blinds, Stormdancer’s Brace grants more whenever ability damage lands while amplified, and Spark of Frequency doubles what every source gives, again only while amplified.

So amplified is what has to stay up, and Flashover makes it circular: max Bolt Charge amplifies you, and being amplified is what got you to max. Ionic Traces amplify you too, so in practice it never drops.

Bolt Charge is also the survivability. Defibrillating Blast makes the bolts jolt and heal you, and grants max stacks outright for stunning a Champion. Dielectric heals and spawns an Orb of Power for rapidly killing Arc-debuffed targets, which is what a jolting grenade produces. Beyond that it’s Healing Rift, blind, and Spark of Resistance for being surrounded.

Limit Break is worth reading carefully. It grants increased Super damage for casting while critically wounded or while carrying an elemental buff matching your Super’s element. Amplified is that buff, and you always have it. The increase is around 15%, and the perk text names no number.

Why the gear

Four Iron Battalion and Stormdancer’s Brace — the Build, and nothing else is fixed. Supercyclical is the reason it exists. The two-piece you get free alongside it, Primary Honing, matters more than a throwaway: bonus damage for Primary ammo weapons against non-boss combatants, scaled by your Weapons stat, and the Exotic here is a primary.

Bad Juju — optional. String of Curses reloads the magazine on a kill, buffs damage, and grants Super energy scaling with the stack. Being kinetic, Elemental Siphon reads its rapid kills too and makes an Arc pickup out of them. Take it for the last 40% of the bar, drop it for anything the encounter needs.

The Beacon — flexible. A Fusion Rifle for the majors Bad Juju chews through slowly, and anything that kills a major does the same job.

Delicate Tomb or Lodestar — the energy slot done properly, and either one costs you Bad Juju. Delicate Tomb generates Ionic Traces on final blows, always off powerful foes, and Tempest Cascade jolts its next shot for collecting one. Lodestar jolts on hipfire once Arc damage aligns its coils, and detonates Arc-debuffed targets into blinding explosions.

Refurbished A499 — flexible. A Sniper because nothing else in the Build reaches a distant target.

Subclass — Prismatic is a straight alternative. Arc is the pick because Bolt Charge accumulates faster with the Arc fragments available, and Bolt Charge is where the Artifact’s damage and healing both come from.

Artifact — Tablet of Ruin. Defibrillating Blast, Dielectric, Flashover and Limit Break are the load-bearing four, with Elemental Siphon for the Bad Juju interaction. Photonic Flare and Gold from Lead are filler.

The spread

200 Super, and everything else is a rounding error. It buys both the maximum rate of Super energy gain and more damage from the cast. Supercyclical’s refund might scale with the stat too, though nothing in the game says so.

100 Grenade, because the Storm grenade is what jolts, and jolt feeds Electrostatic Mind, which feeds everything else.

After that it opens up. Primary Honing reads Weapons directly and Bad Juju is the gun it reads. Class for rift uptime and Melee for Chain Lightning are both defensible; Health is the dump stat.
